Book Librarian Plus can import inforamtion from the Library of Congress (LOC) on line library plus from 50+ plus additional libraries . You can download and store book title, author, co-author, subjects, # of pages, year published, publisher, location, catalog# and ISBN. The information is downloaded in Marc format.
Downloading book information from the internet
To download information from the internet select the following from the main menu:
Internet>Import Books from the Internet or by clicking on the 
icon on the main toolbar. The screen below is displayed:
1. Select one of the 50+ libraries from the library source list. You can select by clicking the drop down or typing a letter a the key board.
2. Select the search type Title, Author, ISBN, Subject or other search criteria
3. Enter the search criteria, e.g, ISBN number, Title etc and press the next button. The search results screen below is displayed:
If you are search by other than ISBN, you may receive multiple results. The first 10 results that match the search criteria are shown and the number of additional search results are shown, e.g. 75 in the example above. To see more search results, click the Show More Results button.
5. Highlight the desired search results and press the Next Button.
6. The book information is displayed in the Book Librarian screens. You can press one of the three Select buttons on the above screen to save additional information from from the downloaded marc record into the associated field. Press the Next button to continue
7. Press the Ok button to save the information in the book librarian database.
8 Repeat steps 1 - 7 to download and save additional book information.
9. Press the Cancel button to exit the import wizard.
Other Web Sites
You can search the amazon.com and the Barnes and Noble web site for books by title, author, subject, ISBN etc. You cannot download information from the web sites, but you can copy information form the web sites and paste the information into Book Librarian Plus.
To search the amazon.com web site, select the following from the main menu:
Internet>Search Amazon.com Books
To search the Barnes and Nobles site, select the following from the main menu:
Internet>Search Barnes and Noble Books
